Terrorist – Naming Names

There is a big commotion brewing over the idea that the White House will be labeling the Iranian military as a terrorist group. What exactly will this mean to Americans, the Iranians, and the world at large? It almost feels as though we are moving into a period of time when the term terrorist is being thrown around so much that it starting to loose its meaning. There are many that call anyone that is considered a dictator, or fascist, Hitler. I believe that this has lessened the impact that Hitler had on the world and the atrocities that he carried out. That is not to say that this type of personality will not appear again, because history has proven that these types of people come and go. Unfortunately, they leave scars on humanity, which are never fully healed.

Now what does it mean if the White House does declare Iran’s military to be a terrorist organization? In the Senate Joint Resolution Document we have, “SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.

(a) IN GENERAL- That the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.

This in essence gives carte’ blanch to the President of the United States to use the military to invade any country, which he defines as a terrorist country. This is also applicable to any individuals. On the surface, it appears to only be applicable to the attacks surrounding 911, but in fact, it also applies to any future possible attacks.

This is where the President uses this power to invade other countries. We must ask ourselves why we seem to be picking and choosing which countries harbor terrorist. I believe everyone is aware that the majority of the supposed hijackers were Saudi. We know that Hamas is a terrorist organization and we know that they are in Palestine and Syria. Yet we are not invading those countries. We know that there are terrorist in Libya and Somalia, but we will not invade those countries either. No, this White House has it’s sites set on Iran. As I stated in a recent article, “We bombed Bosnia for the oil under the Caspian Sea. We went into Afghanistan for a pipeline to move the oil to the Persian Gulf. We went into Iraq for the second section of the pipeline, and in Iran is where it will be completed.”

There is another reason why the U.S. might want to declare the Iranian military as a terrorist organization and that would be to hurt the Iranian government financially. This allows the United States and friendly companies to seize control of Iranian funds and companies abroad. We must worry about this tactic, because Russia, and China are large trade partners with Iran and this will most certainly affect them. I do not believe that this will play well with these governments. Considering that U.S. markets rely heavily on Chinese investment and loans, I believe we are playing a dangerous game. One in which the American investor will see the demise of the U.S. currency. This is where America is in danger because many depend upon a global market. Too many depend on money that has no real value. The Federal Reserve just prints more money as it is needed, but it is not backed by anything substantive. America in on the verge of a great cliff and we must fight hard against those that would lead into the great precipice.
